Dental Implants are artificial devices used to replace missing teeth. Implants come in many different sizes and shapes and they are placed into the bone to act as support for a prosthetic crown. These are the most modern method of replacing missing teeth. They are basically substitutes for the natural tooth roots. They are made of titanium and are usually cylindrical in size.

Dental implants have given countless patients many amazing benefits including

Dental implants are a great value for your investment. Implants look much better, and feel better, than traditional removable bridges, and offer the same force for biting as bridges that are fixed in place. Implants will last your lifetime.!!!

This branch deals with tooth decay and its management. Initial tooth decay is confined only to the enamel (outer most layers) and in cases where the decay involves the dentin (middle layer), the tooth can be filled. However, in cases where the decay involves the pulp a regular filling will not suffice. In such cases only two options remain. Either the tooth has to extracted or a root canal filling needs to be done.

Nothing is as good as a natural tooth! And sometimes your natural tooth may need endodontic (root canal) treatment for it to remain a healthy part of your mouth. Expert endodontic services are carried out in our Center. They have a wide experience in this regard.

  • Wisdom Teeth
Sinus Lift Procedure

In order to successfully place implants you need sufficient bone. In certain situations dentist need to perform specific procedures in order to create bone volume. One such procedure is sinus lift.

Some of the roots of the natural upper teeth extend up into the maxillary sinus. When these upper teeth are removed, there is often just an egg shell thin wall of bone separating the maxillary sinus and the mouth. Dental implants need bone to hold them in place so when the sinus wall is very thin, it is impossible to place dental implants in this bone.

There is a solution called a sinus graft or sinus lift graft. The dental implant surgeon enters the sinus from the side above where the upper teeth used to be. The sinus membrane is then lifted upward and donor bone is inserted into the floor of the sinus. After several months of healing, the bone becomes part of the patient's jaw and dental implants can be inserted and stabilized in this new sinus bone.

The sinus graft makes it possible for many patients to have dental implants when years ago there was no other option other than wearing loose denture.

Removal of wisdom Tooth

The Wisdom tooth, (also called Third Molar) usually do not push through the gums until the late teens or twenties. Wisdom teeth are usually the last teeth to come through the gums.

Wisdom teeth removal surgery or impacted tooth extraction may need to be considered before construction of dentures. Sometimes the wisdom teeth erupt beneath the denture and that can cause severe irritation and infection. Most of the time is preferable to control the infection with antibiotics and oral hygiene first. The tooth extraction of the opposing wisdom tooth is also sometimes advised but that needs to be decided during the consultation with the dental surgeon or the oral surgeon.

Wisdom teeth removal surgery is not something people look forward to, but modern surgical and anaesthetic techniques as used recently have now combined to make wisdom teeth removal surgery a much more acceptable procedure than in the past.

Tooth Colored Restorations

Tooth colored fillings are known as Composite Resin Dental Fillings. Composite Fillings are made of a plastic dental resin which are tooth coloured, strong, durable, that would perfectly match the shade of your tooth and thereby provide a very natural smile!
The tooth coloured composite fillings are also done.

Chips/rough spots/cavities/cracks: These can be filled with a tooth-coloured material called composite. The colour of the composite can be chosen so that it matches the color of your teeth.

Uneven teeth: It's not uncommon for a tooth to be slightly longer or have a different shape than its neighbours. With a procedure called recontouring, your dentist can reshape the tooth so that it's a better match.

Gaps between the teeth Small gaps can be closed by applying composite material between the teeth.

Broken or crooked teeth: Mild chips of enamel or mild alignment corrections can be done with composite fillings. The full conservative cosmetic dental procedures have greatly enhanced a dentist's ability to give their patients a better smile.

Tooth whitening is a procedure that lightens teeth and helps to remove stains and discoloration. Whitening is among the most popular cosmetic dental procedures because it can significantly improve the appearance of your teeth at much less cost and inconvenience than other techniques.

Bleaching has become enormously popular and successful. With bleaching, you can have whiter teeth in just one sitting.

Veneers are a thin layer of porcelain, which are cemented to the tooth, act and appear like normal, natural tooth structure. The laminates are then cemented to the teeth and highly aesthetically pleasing.

Gum Contouring may be required for a 'gummy smile'- excess gum exposure during smile, where the gums cover the top third of the teeth due some erratic eruption of the teeth. In which case the gum contouring is a conservative procedure done by the dentist that would significantly enhance your smile!

A jewel is fixed on the tooth surface. The jewel does not damage tooth tissues and has no side effects except for the increased charm of your smile! Call it an oral fashion statement to stand out among ordinary mortals or simply an effort to blend in with the bold and the beautiful. It can be easily removed without any side effects as the procedure is non-invasive.
